The Sea Life Tower in Weymouth will be shining brightly on the 12th August to celebrate the lasting impact of the 2012 sailing events on the town.
To commemorate the anniversary of the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony,Weymouth the Sea Life Tower will be lit up in the Olympic ring colours on the 12th August.
“Bathing the Tower in the Olympic colours of red, green, blue and gold is our way of remembering the amazing achievements and positive legacy here in Weymouth” said Craig Dunkerley, General Manager of Weymouth Sea Life Park and Tower.
“After such an amazing summer in 2012 it seems only fitting that we should celebrate the achievements of our athletes and one of the most memorable summers ever for the resort,” he added.
The Sea Life Tower opened in June 2012, shortly before the sailing events started in Weymouth. Visitors to the attraction rise 53m above the beautiful Jurassic Coast that provided the dramatic backdrop for so many exciting races offering unrivalled views of the harbour, Nothe and coastline.
