The seasiders travelled to Warminster with a depleted squad following their thrashing of Bournemouth on Saturday. Weymouth were put under pressure from the starting whistle, but some quick defensive play soaked up early pressure. A quick break down the right led to an awesome goal from Ellen Dewey that dented the back board. West Wilts turned up the heat with some goal opportunities before half time but a determined defence loaded up by Alice Craven in goal enabled the seasiders to keep a clean sheet throughout the first half. Weymouth started the second half with greater confidence and quickly took dcontrol of the game holding most possession. Lily Hiscock struggled to find her feet in the second half but put in a volley of solid tavles to fend off the attacks. Stuart-Smith easily converted a short corner to take Weymouth two ahead. West Wilts finally pulled one back, with a swift answer from Drewitt to seal the deal. Weymouth progress into the 3rd round of the Vase on 29th November. They have drawn Truro away.
